The Optagonen approach
From first idea to finished work
Optagonen creates room for young people to write, record, perform, direct, move and build with digital tools. An artist or educator gives the process shape. Participants make the creative decisions.
The finished work matters. It gives the group a shared goal, makes progress visible and leaves them with something they can hear, see or perform.
Artistic depth meets the practical structure of a school day: clear roles, an agreed timeline, suitable equipment and several ways to contribute.

Clear answers before we plan
Does Optagonen already deliver workshops in the United States?
Optagonen's documented delivery is in Sweden. We welcome U.S. inquiries, but each project is reviewed before we confirm whether an in-person, remote or partner-led format is feasible.
Can a workshop be delivered remotely?
Digital songwriting can work online or as a hybrid format when participants have suitable devices, accounts, connectivity and on-site support. Other workshop formats depend on the activity and local conditions.
Who can contact Optagonen about a partnership?
Schools, school districts, libraries, arts organizations, community programs and potential delivery partners can send an inquiry. A short first message is enough to start the review.
What should we include in the first message?
Include your city and state, organization, participant ages, approximate group size, preferred period and what you want participants to create. Mention any local partner, equipment or safeguarding requirements you already know about.
