From a 2015 launch to more than 500 workshops

Optagonen started in Sweden in 2015 to make professionally led creative work more accessible to children and young people.

Creative processes in the school day

The work has grown to include music, storytelling, film, performing arts and digital tools. Each format gives participants a practical process and a concrete result.

The experience comes from Swedish schools, libraries, youth centres and municipal cultural projects.

Projects outside Sweden

Optagonen’s documented work is in Sweden. For projects elsewhere, we first need to agree the language, location, travel, equipment, available workshop leader and local requirements.
